Veteran Marathi actor Atul Parchure, known for his comic timing and memorable roles in Hindi television and films, passed away at the age of 57. He breathed his last on Monday after a prolonged battle with cancer, leaving the film and television industry in shock.
Atul Parchure had been a beloved figure in both Marathi and Hindi entertainment. He was particularly known for his appearances on Kapil Sharma’s comedy show, where his witty performances endeared him to audiences. Parchure had been open about his cancer diagnosis, revealing that doctors had discovered a 5 cm tumour in his liver.
His journey with the illness was fraught with challenges, including a misdiagnosis that worsened his condition. In one of his interviews, he recounted how a faulty procedure damaged his pancreas, complicating his health further. He spoke candidly about his struggles, describing the toll the illness took on his body.
Despite these hardships, Parchure continued to be remembered for his extensive work across television and film. His notable Marathi projects included “Vasu Chi Sasu”, “Priyatama”, and “Tarun Turk Mhatare Arka.” In Bollywood, he had supporting roles in popular films like “Partner”, “Khatta Meetha”, and “All the Best: Fun Begins.”
