Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has returned to its fans after a five-year break, bringing with it glamour, and controversy. Following the “new version” experiment titled Victoria’s Secret: The Tour in 2023, the fashion show will return to its traditional format with a few major changes.
Fans are buzzing with anticipation for the show, as some models return to the VS ramp walk after a long absence. The fashion show will air live on Tuesday, October 15, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Fans may watch the show via Amazon Live and Prime Video, both of which require a subscription plan. Other ways to watch the show include Victoria’s Secret channels on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
The red carpet pre-show will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, hosted by Olivia Culpo and TikToker Tefi Pessoa. According to Page Six, fans can watch the concert again on YouTube after the official livestream concludes.
This year’s VS Fashion Show will include several notable supermodels, including Tyra Banks. She will walk the ramp 19 years after her previous appearance on the VS runway. Other supermodels announced for this year’s show include Gigi Hadid, Barbara Palvin, Adriana Lima, Ashley Graham, Jasmine Tookes, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Taylor Hill, and more.
Doutzen Kroes will also return to the fashion show after a 10-year absence. She told Page Six Style that she “cannot believe” it had been a decade since her previous performance. Carla Bruni also said that she will return to the show.
Cher will be the night’s star act, joined by Tyla and K-pop diva Lisa. This is the first time the performance lineup will be all female. Tyla informed the journalists, “I’m performing with my friend Lisa and the legend Cher!! Like, what the heck?!! Only us gals! I know it’s going to be such a great night for us, and one that ‘little Tyla’ would adore, so I’m quite happy!”
The program went on pause after dwindling popularity and widespread criticism for its lack of body inclusion and ethnic diversity. Many of their models also spoke out about the stringent rules and restrictions, which harmed the company’s reputation even further.
