Vidyut Jammwal unveils striking Dhalsim look in his Hollywood debut ‘Street Fighter’

Social media is in overdrive after the makers of Street Fighter revealed Vidyut Jammwal’s first look as Dhalsim in his Hollywood debut. The teaser trailer, showcased at the 2025 Game Awards in the presence of the film’s cast, instantly sparked excitement among fans of the iconic video game franchise.

The much-awaited glimpse introduces Vidyut in a completely unrecognisable avatar  bald, intense and embodying the calm-yet-fierce aura of Dhalsim. His clean-shaven head is marked with bold red stripes, while rustic orange drapes and heavy metal bangles add an earthy, mystical charm. Tribal-inspired details, kohl-lined eyes and an arched brow further amplify the transformation, making the character stand out prominently among the film’s ensemble.

In the teaser, Vidyut is seen performing a martial arts routine, reinforcing the film’s promise of action-driven storytelling. Dhalsim, known in the game as a peaceful yogi with fire-spitting abilities who fights to support his family, appears to have been recreated with striking authenticity for the big screen.

Along with Vidyut, the film features an eclectic global cast including Noah Centineo, Callina Liang, Cody Rhodes, Orville Peck, 50 Cent, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, Andrew Schulz, Alexander Volkanovski and more. First-look posters of these characters were also released, giving fans a broader glimpse into the movie’s expansive world.

With Vidyut’s transformation already dominating conversations, Street Fighter is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Hollywood action films.
