Vijay Sethupathi’s witty reply steals the spotlight on The Great Indian Kapil Show

Actor Vijay Sethupathi is all set to make his first appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, alongside his Gandhi Talks co-stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth Jadhav, and music composer AR Rahman. The episode, scheduled to premiere on January 31, has already grabbed attention thanks to a leaked promo that showcases Vijay’s signature humour.

In the clip, Kapil Sharma asks Vijay whether he ever attended an acting school. The actor reveals that he never did and instead worked as an accountant for a theatre group. Kapil then jokes, asking if Vijay was inspired by seeing a star’s bank balance. With quick wit, Vijay responds, “Nahi, maine apna account dekha, paisa nahi tha toh kamane ka,” explaining that he turned to acting because he had no money to earn.

The response leaves co-stars Siddharth and Aditi clapping in appreciation, while Kapil bursts into laughter. Fans flooded social media with reactions, praising Vijay’s humour. One wrote, “He is an aura in himself,” while another commented, “Vijay Sethupathi never disappoints.” The clip highlights not just the actor’s comedic timing but also his down-to-earth persona.

The appearance also coincides with the team promoting their upcoming film, Gandhi Talks. With Vijay Sethupathi making his debut on the popular show, audiences can expect a mix of humour, candid stories, and behind-the-scenes insights from the film.
