Renowned Actor Vikrant Massey clarified his retirement announcement, stating it has been “misinterpreted.” The 12th Fail actor, known for his stellar performances in films like Chhapaak and A Death in the Gunj, posted on social media that he would take a long break after 2025 to prioritize his health and family.
“Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off, I want to better my craft. I feel a sense of monotony at the moment,” Vikrant said in a statement today.
He further explained, “My post has been misinterpreted that I am quitting or retiring from acting. I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health. I would be back when the time feels right.”
The clarification followed his initial post, where he wrote, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal… Coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right.”
The actor recently attended a special screening of The Sabarmati Report at Parliament Library, sharing the moment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Personally, getting the opportunity to watch The Sabarmati Report with the Prime Minister of our country is the highest point in my career,” Vikrant said.
Currently filming Yaar Jigri and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, Vikrant rose to fame with Balika Vadhu and earned critical acclaim in recent years with projects like Haseen Dillruba and Mirzapur. Fans eagerly await his next move as he steps back to recalibrate.
