Under the direct tax dispute resolution scheme ‘vivad se vishwas’ which was launched in march, the government has received ₹72,480 crore in taxes from 45,855 cases so far. The scheme liquidates nearly ₹9.5 lakh crore revenue stuck in direct tax disputes in various different forums of 5 lakh cases. The central public sector units(CPSU’s) came forward to resolve disputes with revenue implication of over ₹1 lakh crore.
