Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of India’s most celebrated couples today, but their love story had its share of private beginnings. While the duo initially kept their relationship under wraps before confirming it publicly, they eventually tied the knot in a dreamy Italian wedding in 2017. Years later, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has now shared an interesting memory from the days when Anushka was his neighbour.
During his appearance on The Raunac Podcast, Agnihotri revealed, “Anushka Sharma was my neighbour back then. We lived in the same society… her father is still a great friend of mine.” He further added that before their wedding, Virat would often come to visit Anushka. “Children in our street used to go crazy. They would run behind his car in fondness. That is the only memory I have of him,” Agnihotri shared, admitting that he never personally met the cricketer as he was not much into cricket himself.
Seven years into their marriage, Virat and Anushka are enjoying life together in London. Recently, the power couple was spotted interacting with fans on the streets. After their picturesque wedding, the duo welcomed their daughter Vamika in January 2021, followed by their son Akaay in February 2024, completing their beautiful family.
