Actor Vivek Oberoi, who has seen many highs and lows in his film career, is now in an exciting phase with some of the biggest projects lined up. The actor will next be seen in the comedy sequel Mastii 4 and also plays a key role in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor. Recently, he was also announced as part of Prabhas’ upcoming film, Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Reflecting on his current journey, Vivek shared that his calm state of mind has attracted more meaningful work. “I was just telling my wife how the universe works on vibrations. When you’re relaxed, not desperate, and open to life, great films and offers come your way. It’s beautiful to choose projects from passion instead of pressure,” he said.
Talking about Ramayana, the actor expressed immense pride in being part of a project that he believes will represent India globally. “What Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari are doing with Ramayana is phenomenal. They’re taking Bhartiya cinema to the global stage with a company that has won multiple Oscars in VFX. It’s India’s answer to Hollywood epics,” Vivek said.
In a heartfelt gesture, Vivek revealed he donated his entire fee from Ramayana to help children battling cancer. “I told Namit I don’t want a penny, I want to give it for a cause I believe in,” he shared.
On a lighter note, Vivek described working on Mastii 4 as a joyful reunion with friends Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and director Milap Zaveri. “It felt like a school reunion after 21 years. The chemistry was the same, and we had an amazing time,” he said, ending on a nostalgic note.
