Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi recently opened up about his views on open marriages and his bond with wife Priyanka Alva, during an interview with MensXP. Known for his candid nature, Vivek expressed his belief in the traditional concept of marriage, emphasizing exclusivity and commitment as its core values.
The actor, who has been married to Priyanka for over a decade, shared, “I don’t understand the concept of open marriage. Either you are exclusive, or you are nothing. There cannot be anything like open exclusivity.” Rooted in his cultural values, Vivek admitted that the idea of open marriages does not align with his outlook on relationships.
Vivek highlighted that while certain old practices may be outdated, the age-old belief in exclusive marriages exists for a reason. As a self-proclaimed “desi person,” he shared how his relationship with Priyanka reflects his commitment to traditional values. “Every morning I wake up, I see her, and I feel love. I ask myself if I’d still choose her over anyone else in the world, and the answer is always yes,” he said.
