Walt Disney Co. is about to terminate more than 4000 employees in its theme park division in California and Florida due to the ongoing economic crises of COVID-19. Earlier this week, the announcement of firing 32,000 workers in the first term of fiscal year 2021 was made. In late September, the company had already announced plants to terminate 28,000 theme park workers.
