Was Netflix’s La Dolce Villa Really Filmed In Europe?

La Dolce Villa has certainly captured the hearts of its audience with its breathtaking settings, and the beautiful locations featured in the film are mostly real places in Italy, adding to its charm.

As reported by The Direct, the villa that Olivia purchases in the movie is the Torrino Dei Gelsi Farm and Resort, located on the outskirts of the small town of San Gregorio da Sassola. This stunning spot served as the exterior for the iconic villa. Many of the film’s other scenes were filmed in Tuscany, showcasing the region’s picturesque rolling hills and quaint townships, which make for the perfect backdrop for the romantic comedy.

The Roma Trastevere Railway Station also plays a role in the film’s opening sequence, where Eric, the protagonist, arrives in Italy to meet his daughter. As for the indoor scenes, they were filmed at Cinecittà Studios in Rome, including the villa’s interior shots, which helps capture the essence of Italy’s charm within the confines of a studio.

The movie, which was released on February 13, 2025, stars Scott Foley, Maia Reficco, and Violante Placido, and follows a businessman trying to stop his daughter from spending all her money on restoring an old villa, only to find that Italy has other romantic plans for them.

If you’re looking to dive into the beauty of Italy while enjoying a romantic comedy, La Dolce Villa is available for streaming on Netflix.
