Watch: Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez rally Inter Miami for a 2-2 draw with Nashville SC

Nashville SC’s Jacob Shaffelburg seized his opportunity and scored four minutes into the game. He then increased their advantage one minute into the second half, scoring brilliantly to make it 2-0, 46 minutes into the game. And then Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez happened.

In the 52nd minute, Inter Miami pushed into Nashville’s final third, with defender Nicolas Freire running up to lay off an easy ball to winger Gomez.

Just outside Nashville’s penalty box, Luis Suarez and Messi were engaged in a quick shuffle 1-2 passing play. The Uruguayan then set the ball for Messi, who was charging at the moment and calmly finished from the top of the box making it 2-1.

Ultimately, the duo’s brilliance would continue to show, with Suarez scoring an extra-time goal to level the game 2-2. In the 95th minute, Sergio Busquets dropped an excellent cross into the box, which was met by none other than the Uruguayan legend, who soared in the air at the right moment to head Inter Miami’s equalizer past Willis.

As usual, Inter Miami’s new player and their best player Lionel Messi, has been the difference maker. He also helped Miami get a draw in their match against LA Galaxy with an incredible late equalizer.
