Watford got promoted to Premier League after their 1-0 win over Millwall this evening.
Brentford’s win at Bournemouth earlier in the day meant that only three points would be good enough for Xisco Munoz’s Watford to be promoted alongside Norwich, who came down with them last season.
Ismaila Sarr’s early penalty sealed a 1-0 win at Vicarage Road over Millwall, a result that gave Watford an unassailable 10-point lead over third-placed Brentford.
Watford looked nervous but held out to celebrate referee Dean Whitestone blowing the final whistle.
