What happened between Eminem and Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit? Feud explained

After Eminem took the music industry by storm in 1999, some wrote him off as a flash in the pan, a one-hit wonder. As Eminem continued demonstrating that he had the musical Midas touch, many people started to regard him as an all-time great.

Alongside recording hit song after hit song, Eminem has become famous for engaging in and profiting from feuds. Unfortunately for Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit, they were the target of Eminem’s rage and felt heartbroken because of it.

Here’s everything you need to know about what happened between Eminem and Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit.

Throughout his long successful career, Eminem has had several feuds with his peers. While these feuds normally fade over time, it typically seems like Eminem and his rival leave the situation with a lot of anger for each other.

On the other hand, it looks crystal clear based on Fred Durst’s past that he doesn’t want to hold on to anger and controversy. Anyone can see that by looking at the history of Durst’s past feud with Slipknot.

Durst reportedly stated something pretty disrespectful about Slipknot fans in 1999. “Slipknot’s fans are a bunch of fat, ugly kids.” When the news came out that Durst reportedly stated that, it obviously sparked outrage among the members of Slipknot and their fans.

Slipknot members were questioned about Durst’s rumoured statements during a TV interview. Slipknot’s Corey Taylor first appeared diplomatic, but before the subject was changed, he became so furious that he threatened Durst’s life.

Despite the fact that tensions between Durst and Slipknot were alarmingly high, the Limp Bizkit frontman made an effort to put all of that behind them. Durst and Taylor eventually made peace and images of Durst hanging out with Slipknot members have been shared on social media

DJ Lethal was a member of the group House of Pain alongside Everlast before joining Limp Bizkit. When Eminem was still friends with Limp Bizkit, he got into a feud with Everlast and decided to call him out in a song.

According to Eminem, Durst and DJ Lethal told him that they would be on the song dissing Everlast, but they later pulled out. Durst and DJ Lethal were then interviewed on MTV and asked about Everlast and Eminem’s feud. While DJ Lethal stated that Eminem would win lyrically, he believed Everlast would beat him up in a fight.

Eminem was so upset by DJ Lethal’s statements that he included a song called “Girls” on D12’s “Devil’s Night” album. Anyone who has heard “Girls” knows it’s a vicious diss track aimed at Durst and DJ Lethal.
