Status updates are now getting on the web version of WhatsApp. Status is WhatsApp’s version of Stories, allowing users to share updates in the form of photographs and videos. When they share Status updates, their display picture on the messaging app becomes green, and you may view the shared update by tapping on it.
According to WABetainfo, WhatsApp appears to be testing the web version of the feature with beta users. WhatsApp web is used by billions of people on their desktops since it lets them multitask, whether at work or home.
Users will likely be able to try out the new Status update feature on WhatsApp if they are using the desktop version of the 2.2353.59 web beta. In the WhatsApp web interface, Status is located at the top-left corner, between the tabs for communities and channels.
Users of WhatsApp have the option to update their status using text, images, or videos. Several individuals believe that the popularity of Stories prompted Meta to add the feature to its other apps, such as Facebook and WhatsApp.
WhatsApp is also developing a new feature that will allow users to share music during video calls, allowing them to bond over a song just as they would in person. This feature is similar to Apple’s SharePlay, which they can use during FaceTime calls.
