WhatsApp may be inquired by Competition Commission of India

Since updating it’s privacy & user policies, WhatsApp has been facing severe backlash from it’s users and now according to the reports, WhatsApp may also face the heat from Competition Commission of India -CCI.

The CCI can view the new changes as an abuse of its power because the app is by far the most popular and dominant messaging application in it’s field.

While many alternative options are available in the market but it is not easy to switch to others as links has been deep rooted with the establishment. WhatsApp has over 400 million active users and it is not giving an option to the people to opt of the chain which shares data with Facebook.

It’s either the highway or the WhatsApp way. Though the update has been postponed till May 15 to clear the rumors surrounding it’s updates and minimize the damage that has already been done.
