The new Sony Pictures movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile had its theatrical release in October 2022 and will be made accessible on Netflix in the US and India in February 2023, with other countries to follow.

The animated musical hybrid movie, which also stars Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley, Scot McNairy, and Brett Gelman, has vocals by Shawn Mendes. The movie is set in New York City and follows a singing crocodile who can’t talk as he tries to fit in with city life.

In case you missed it, Sony Pictures and Netflix have agreed to a first-look deal that will start in 2022 and encompass the entirety of their slate. According to the deal, Netflix will gradually offer more theatrical movies. These movies will remain with them for 18 months before being transferred to Disney platforms (Hulu or Disney+).

Exactly 120 days after their theatrical debut, several Sony movies have been released, but some have taken far longer. For instance, Father Stu debuted on Netflix 156 days following its theatrical debut, but Uncharted debuted 168 days later.
