Thomella was born on October 6, 1989, in East Berlin. Her parents are actors, Simone Thomalla and André Vetters.
In addition to Berlin, she also spent her childhood in Cologne, Kleinmachnow and Gelsenkirchen. She afterwards moved to the city where she was raised.
