Why are Jeannie Mai and Jeezy Getting a divorce?

When it comes to certain things in their marriage, Jeezy and his estranged wife, Jeannie Mai, were apparently not on the same page.

The former “The Real” co-host and the “My President” rapper had different perspectives on  “certain family values and expectations,” which resulted in Jeezy filing for divorce last week, a source told “Entertainment Tonight.”

“They had different views, and each felt like their needs weren’t being completely met,” the insider added.

Jeezy, born Jay Wayne Jenkins, claimed in court filings obtained by Page Six that his marriage to Mai, 44, was “irretrievably broken.”

The 45-year-old Grammy nominee also asked for joint legal custody of their 1-year-old daughter, Monaco.

In the court documents, he further said that he and the TV host have a prenuptial agreement in place.

Mai and the father of four started dating in 2018 and got married 3 years later at their Atlanta home. Monaco, their daughter, was born the following January.

For 10 years, the Emmy winner was married to Freddy Harteis. They divorced in 2017, mainly because Mai did not want to have children at the time.
