Kim Kardashian is stepping into momager mode for her daughter North West, and it’s proving to be more of a challenge than she expected.
In a new trailer for The Kardashians Season 6 on Hulu, Kim opens up about juggling North’s budding career alongside her own. Sitting down with her mom, Kris Jenner, and sister, Khloé Kardashian, she admits, “I thought I was busy before. North—me having to be her momager right now is crazy. It just was not on my list. It was not on my bingo card for this year.”
Kris, the OG momager herself, doesn’t sugarcoat it: “It’s a lot of work. It’s a lot of energy.”
Kim, clearly feeling the weight of it all, responds, “And I’m not ready.” Khloé chimes in, “You’re like, I have my own s— to manage.”
Kim explains that being present for North’s work commitments takes up significant time: “If she has a shoot, I have to be there all day, so it’s like her or me.”
In a confessional moment, she shares her internal struggle: “I’m really conflicted on my daughter’s career, so we’re going to talk about that soon. I just really want to make sure that everything’s really well-balanced. All of the work experiences are balanced out with just enough fun life experiences. I just want balance.”
And North has been busy. In 2024 alone, she played Young Simba in The Lion King, was featured on Kanye West’s song Talking / Once Again, and collaborated with FKA Twigs on Childlike Things.
Kim previously addressed her approach to managing her kids’ careers on World’s First Podcast with Erin and Sara Foster. She explained that whenever North receives an opportunity, they discuss it as a family before making a decision. She also emphasized that she oversees every detail to ensure it’s worthwhile—not just for North but for their entire family.
With The Kardashians returning on February 6, it looks like we’ll get a front-row seat to Kim navigating her newest job title: momager-in-training.
