Taylor Swift isn’t going to miss the Kansas City Chiefs’ playoff games, as confirmed by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. During a live taping of The Pat McAfee Show on January 13, Kelce chatted about the Chiefs’ upcoming home game against the Houston Texans. When host Pat McAfee asked if there was going to be a special energy at the stadium, Kelce replied, “Oh, yeah. You know it, baby,” with enthusiasm, adding that playoff football always brings an extra vibe.
The conversation then turned to Swift and whether Kelce ever helps her with her songwriting. Kelce, though supportive of Swift, said he doesn’t get involved in her creative process but always backs her up in other ways. He also made a playful reference to one of her hit songs. “I’m fired up; I’m feeling 22 all over again, baby,” Kelce said, quoting Swift’s 2012 anthem 22, signaling his excitement for the playoffs.
When McAfee and his team caught the reference and began singing the chorus, Kelce showed off his famous dance moves, clearly pleased they got the nod. “I was hoping you caught the reference, baby,” he said, showing off his signature charm.
Despite her hectic Eras Tour schedule, Swift has attended several of Kelce’s home games this season. She made a fashion statement at the December 21 game between the Chiefs and Texans, wearing a stylish outfit that included a Charlotte Simone coat, argyle-patterned tights, knee-high Manolo Blahnik boots, and a vintage Chanel bucket hat.
The Chiefs are set to play the Texans again at Arrowhead Stadium this Saturday, and it’s expected that Swift will be there to cheer on her boyfriend.
