Wipro’s Azim Premji most generous Indian in FY20

With a donation of about ₹7,904 crore to charity, IT giant Wipro’s founder-chairman Azim Premji topped the list of philanthropists in India for 2020, according to EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2020. The business tycoon’s foundation works directly in education and supports more than 150 other non-profit organizations serving under-privileged people through multi-year financial grants. Meanwhile, Mumbai topped the preferred city of residence for top philanthropists followed by Delhi and Bengaluru.
