Woman tourist falls to death in paragliding crash in Kullu, pilot arrested

A Hyderabadi tourist lost his life in a paragliding accident in Himachal’s Kullu district, police stated on Sunday. According to a tourism official, the disaster might have been caused by “human error”.

According to the officer, a magistrate’s inquiry into the incident has been ordered and a paragliding pilot has been taken into custody.

Preliminary reports claim that the pilot failed to properly tighten the tourist’s safety belt.

Kullu Sunaina Sharma, a tourist officer, told PTI that investigations indicate that the terrible accident was caused by “human error.” She stated that the site and equipment were permitted, the pilot was registered, and there were no weather-related issues.

Paragliding activities have been suspended in the region, she added. A complaint under IPC sections 336 (endangering the personal safety of others) and 334 (voluntarily causing hurt) has been filed, and the pilot has been arrested, according to the official. She also stated that a magisterial probe had been ordered into the incident.
