World Bank to fund Indian projects worth $800 million

The World Bank has approved to fund Indian Projects worth over $800 million dollars. The details of this are kept secretive but it is believed that the projects support a range of issues from strengthening tribal households in Chhattisgarh to enhancing education in Nagaland.

World Bank provides loans and grants to govt. of various low and middle income countries for the purpose to pursue capital projects. The main goal of World Bank is reduction of poverty.
