Zayn Malik Celebrates 32nd Birthday with Horror-Themed Cake and Heartfelt Fan Appreciation

Zayn Malik recently celebrated his 32nd birthday in style with a seriously unique and eerie cake! The former One Direction member marked the occasion on Sunday, January 12, by sharing an Instagram story featuring a jaw-dropping, horror-themed cake inspired by The Last of Us. Zayn thanked his fans for the birthday wishes and showed appreciation for the support they’ve given him, especially for the projects they’ve worked on to raise funds for causes he holds dear. “Thanks for raising funds for causes close to my heart,” he added, acknowledging their generosity.

The cake, which stole the spotlight, was a creepy work of art featuring a bust of a clicker—the zombie-like creatures from the Last of Us video game and HBO series. The base of the cake had Zayn’s name written in bold uppercase letters. In another Instagram story, he shared a closer look at the dessert and praised its creator. “@thelondonbaker, thank you for this amazing piece of art. You’re an absolute legend,” he wrote, adding, “This cake is the best I’ve ever had… in 32 years!”

The cake was made by Elizabeth Rowe, the winner of Season 2 of Is It Cake? on Netflix, who is known for her jaw-dropping, realistic cakes. Zayn’s birthday treat definitely made an impression with its intricate detail.

This wasn’t the first time Zayn received an extravagant cake on his birthday. Back in 2021, when he turned 28, his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, a big fan of the Cake Boss show, commissioned celebrity baker Buddy Valastro to create a Bradford City AFC-themed cake for him. The cake, which reflected the soccer team’s brown and yellow striped jersey, also included a sweet message from Gigi.

In other news, Zayn recently made headlines for cutting his Stairway to the Sky tour short due to vocal health issues, canceling his final U.K. stop in Newcastle.
