Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has been waiting for a new job after he left Real Madrid following a lack of proper communication with management within the club and he has his eyes set on the French teams managerial position.
Zidane had only coached Real Madrid in his managerial career to date and had led the club to many titles in his time with the club. After his move out of Real Madrid, he didn’t consider moving to any other club side as there is no available position in the top clubs in Europe. He has also thought of taking time off football and wait for 2022 when Deschamps contract comes to an end.
Zidane has his heart set on his countries job as he would be looking forward to following Deschamps footsteps as a member of France’s golden generation that won the 1998 World Cup and 2000 Euro and then enjoyed similar success as a manager. Deschamps has led the team to Euro 2016 finals but lost the finals against Portugal, but in 2018 he led them to the finals and won the tournament again Croatia in Russia and joined the exclusive list of individuals who have won the World Cup both as a player and manager.
