Vaazha 2 made Rs. 8.35 crore on its second Sunday, capping a strong second weekend of Rs. 22.70 crore. Compared to the first three days of its theatrical run, the movie saw a 20% increase in sales during the second weekend. At the Kerala box office, Vaazha 2’s 11-day run has now brought in Rs. 79.90 crore.
The Malayalam film, which was directed by Savin Sa, was a huge box office success. According to current trends, the film will soon surpass the Rs. 100 crore gross threshold in its own country—possibly in the third weekend—and then move closer to its ultimate goal. The movie may threaten Lokah Chapter One: Chandra’s lifetime cume at the Kerala box office, which is now the highest grossing Malayalam film, if it does well in the third and fourth weeks as well.
Following the popularity of Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, producer and writer Vipin Das made a comeback with Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros., which is directed by Savin Sa and features Hashir, Alan Bin Siraj, Ajin Joy, and Vinayak in key roles. The background scores were handled by A Team, while the band Malayali Monkeys, along with Rajat Prakash (Hatsmyth), Parvatish Pradeep, Rzee, Muthu, Arcado, Jazir Muhammed, Ashwin Aryan, and Electronic Kili, composed the music.
