Defending champions Barcelona will start the defence of their title on the road at Getafe on the weekend of August 13. At the same time, Real Madrid will begin their search for another domestic glory away at Athletic Club. In the last round of fixtures, the Blaugrana will face Sevilla at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, while the Blancos will host Real Betis.
The 1st La Liga Clasico of 2023-24 is going to take place on October 29 at Camp Nou, with the long-running rivalry between two old rivals scheduled to continue on April 21 at Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will meet on August 24 (at Wanda Metropolitano) and February 4, respectively, while Betis and Sevilla will meet on November 12 and April 28. Real Sociedad and Athletic Club will meet in the Basque derby on October 1 and January 13.
Barcelona won their first league title since 2019 by completing the 2022–23 season 10 points ahead of Real Madrid. However, Real have already made moves in the transfer market, signing Jude Bellingham for €103 million (£89 million/$113 million) and both sides of a fierce Clasico rivalry will probably have been bolstered by the time the new season arrives.
