Mason Mount to join Manchester United from Chelsea in £60m deal: Reports

Manchester United and Chelsea have finally reached an agreement on a transfer for Mount. United had an offer of £55 million ($69 million) rejected earlier this week but has now agreed to pay £55 million plus £5 million ($6 million) in add-ons. According to GOAL, Man United will only pay the entire extra £5 million if Mount wins the Premier League or Champions League multiple times.

United and Chelsea have been in talks throughout the summer, with United rejecting three bids for the England international. It looks like the story is finally getting towards a conclusion.

Chelsea has taken steps to reduce Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, selling Kai Havertz to Arsenal and sending Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabia.

Man United manager Ten Hag wants to build on an outstanding first season at United, in which he led the squad to the League Cup win. United qualified for the Champions League as well after finishing third in England’s premier league.

Goalkeeper David De Gea is a free agent this summer and has yet to sign a new contract. United has been linked to Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana and Brentford’s David Raya.
