Kylian Mbappe given strict deadline to extend PSG contract with Ligue 1 giants: Reports

Kylian Mbappe is the biggest asset in world football right now, but where he will play in the future is unknown. With only one year remaining on his contract with Paris Saint-Germain at the age of 24, Mbappe is at the height of his football career. Although he has the option to extend his deal by another year, he has put it off and the Parisian club has given him a strict deadline to sign.

PSG allegedly paid AS Monaco 180 million euros for Mbappe in 2017, spending much on a youngster who was going to be a superstar. While his stats for Paris have been outstanding ever since, with him developing into one of the best footballers in the world, he has yet to win the Champions League. This has caused Mbappe to be unhappy with the organisation of the team and the management surrounding him, leading to him flirting with transfers to teams such as Real Madrid in recent transfer windows.

Paris will be fearful to let Mbappe leave for free next year, so they are either attempting to extend his contract or preparing to put him on the transfer market and recoup some of their investment. According to L’Equipe, Mbappe has until the end of July to renew his contract; if not, he will be sold this summer.
