Kohli, who was named the player of the tournament for his spectacular run with the bat, ended the tournament as the tournament’s top-scoring batter, however, that wasn’t enough for him to take home the title. Kohli met his wife, Anushka Sharma, in the stands after Travis Head led Australia to an easy win.

Kohli scored a 63-ball 54 before being bowled by Australia captain Pat Cummins. Even his dismissal at the moment sent shockwaves around Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, leaving Anushka shocked.
Chasing a target of 241 runs, Australia won their sixth ODI World Cup with Travis Head’s 120-ball 137. After the game, Cummins was all praise for his team since they had carried out the plan to surpass the Indian team on this big occasion.
Kohli’s dream of winning the World Cup for the second time has come to an end with the heartbreaking defeat. It is unclear whether he will play in the next ODI World Cup.
