A mix-up that was already humorous was made much funnier by Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan. The 37-year-old actor chose to intensify the joke by photoshopping his face onto the cricketer’s when followers mistook him for Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy.
While sharing the reel on Instagram, he captioned it, “Since the internet is having fun I decided to join in. All the best to the boys in blue and the other VARUN to shine bright on Sunday let’s go 🇮🇳.”
His light-hearted comment quickly gained popularity on social media, with many people complimenting his sense of humour. When Chakravarthy grabbed the vital wicket of Australian batsman Travis Head during India’s semifinal match against Australia on Tuesday in Dubai, the confusion began. Dhawan showcased his toned abs on Instagram the following day with a series of shirtless photos.
In addition to complimenting him on his health, supporters jokingly continued to applaud him on capturing Travis Head’s wicket in the comments section. The prank was made even more entertaining by Varun Chakravarthy, who commented, “Well bowled bhaiya,” with a grinning emoji and folded hands. Fans went into a frenzy at the surprise crossover, and his response just made it funnier.
