Samsung confirms Galaxy S24 series launch date; Here is what we know

Finally, the wait is over. Samsung has set January 17, 2024 as the date for the launch of its new flagship devices at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. The much-anticipated tech event is scheduled to take place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, where Samsung will unveil its new-generation Galaxy S24 series, which will have ‘Galaxy AI’ features.

Even though the dates have been announced and there isn’t much time left for the final reveal, Samsung has already opened pre-orders for the Galaxy S24 series in India. Fans of Samsung who are interested in pre-ordering the newest flagship may do so by visiting Samsung’s official website at samsung.com/in/unpacked/ and paying just Rs 1,999 for the Next Galaxy VIPPASS. The pass enables customers to purchase the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones on or after January 17. Additionally, customers can pick the version they want to purchase.

Samsung has yet to unveil the features and specifications of its new Galaxy S24 series. While the company might give some sneak peaks as the launch date approaches, there have been several leaks and predictions in the IT sector indicating big improvements in the series.

As per rumours, the standard Galaxy S24 will have a 6.2-inch screen, while the S24+ will have a slightly bigger 6.7-inch display. The top-of-the-line S24 Ultra will have 6.8 inches screen. All screens will have a buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate, which will add to the immersive experience.

Depending on the region, Samsung is anticipated to offer either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400 processor. The Exynos chipset is expected to power the Galaxy S24 series for Indian users.

The camera is expected to be an outstanding feature, with rumors claiming that the normal and S24+ variants would come equipped with two powerful 50-megapixel cameras capable of producing high-quality photographs and filming amazing 8K videos. The S24 Ultra, on the other hand, is anticipated to push photography to new levels with a powerful 200-megapixel primary camera and extra zooming lenses.
