In a Ranchi court, cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a criminal case against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwash of Aarka Sports and Management Limited. In 2017, Diwakar allegedly reached an arrangement with MSD to set up a cricket academy globally. However, Diwakar failed to follow the terms of the agreement. Aarka Sports was required to pay a franchise fee and share profits under the terms of the agreement, which were not honoured.
Regardless of several attempts, the agreement’s terms and conditions were disregarded. As a result, on August 15th, 2021, MSD revoked the authority letter offered to Aarka Sports and sent a few legal notices, but to no avail.
Dayanand Singh, who represents MS Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, claims that Aarka Sports duped and cheated them, resulting in a loss of more than Rs 15 crore.
Simant Lohani, also known as Chittu, Dhoni’s friend, has also filed a complaint, claiming that Mihir Diwakar threatened and abused him when they took legal action against Aarka Sports.
MS Dhoni spent his New Year in Dubai and has now got back home. Dhoni was spotted welcoming the New Year with his family and close friends. Rishabh Pant, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter, was also spotted travelling with Dhoni.
