At the Ram Mandir event, Ranbir Kapoor talked about his time there and said that he would have loved to bring his daughter Raha to Ayodhya for Monday’s grand event. The only members of the family that attended Ram Lalla’s consecration ceremony were actor-wife Alia Bhatt and Ranbir. Raha is only one, and considering her age, it looks like her parents chose not to bring her.
Speaking about Ayodhya, Ranbir said to Times Now, “It’s a big pride. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to be here. I just wish I could have brought my daughter Raha (Kapoor) here to experience this historic moment. It just feels great. Jai Shri Ram.”
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor grabbed headlines at the ceremony in their traditional attire. Ranbir dressed in an off-white dhoti-kurta and shawl for the event, while Alia chose a teal saree.
Her specific saree had a Ramayan-inspired border with embroidered pictures of Lord Ram, Hanuman and the Ram Setu. She also carried a similar shawl and a purse made of the same fabric as the saree. She had neatly braided her hair into a bun. The star couple was joined by other celebs during the occasion, including Rohit Shetty.
