Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix are collaborating on a unique, unannounced Bollywood series in 2025. The series is produced by Gauri Khan, and it’s going to be Aryan Khan’s first step toward direction.
At an event organised by Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria this week in Los Angeles, the announcement of this alliance and massive project was revealed. The event featured some of the most ambitious international projects that will be available on the service in the upcoming year.
Against the backdrop of the film business, this multi-genre project offers an unapologetic, enjoyable journey through the exploits of a charming, ambitious outsider navigating the glamorous but challenging world of Bollywood. The series, which has big-budget cameos and fantastical characters, combines a high-stakes plot with self-aware humour to create a memorable, humourous look at Indian cinema.
Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment will collaborate on this upcoming Bollywood series for the sixth time. Previous collaborations include the critically acclaimed crime-drama Bhakshak, the zombie horror series Betaal, the spy thriller series Bard of Blood, the cop-drama Class of ’83, and the popular dark comedy Darlings.
Shah Rukh Khan expressed his sincere feelings about the news, saying, “We are thrilled to introduce this new series with Netflix that provides a novel glimpse into the glitzy world of film and what it takes to be successful as an eccentric.”
