IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore acquired services of the destructive middle-order T20 batsman Glen Maxwell for a whooping 14.25 Crore. This came as a shock to many of the cricket fans as Maxwell had a poor run in the IPL last year. Maxwell had expressed his desire to play in RCB beside the likes of Virat Kohli, ABD. His wish came true once he was sold to RCB for a huge amount. In an exclusive interview, Maxwell talked about his intention to play in RCB, his price tag, mental fatigue, etc.
Maxwell has openly talked about his desire to play in RCB. He has been part of Punjab for quite a while and has previously helped Punjab reach the IPl final in 2014 where he scored 552 runs in 16 matches. He has not been in his best form since then with last year being his worst performance till date.
Talking about the bio bubble and pandemic he stated that he has been in quite a few bio bubbles since cricket resumed after the pandemic. He further stated that he is excited to be playing the IPL and looking forward to having a great session with RCB.
He also talked about having few familiar faces in a franchise tournament and away from home. It becomes easy to mix with everyone and it helps to build a positive environment in the team
