IPL 2021: Best Playing 11 of Mumbai Indians against RCB

Best Playing 11 of Mumbai Indians in IPL is something to watch out for as the Mumbai Indians squad is full of enthusiasm after winning the title for five times in the previous seasons.

Mumbai Indians have reached the final six times and won the title on five of those occasions, the last of which came in their win over Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020. Their best players led by Rohit Sharma, with the Pandya brothers, Kieron Pollard and Jasprit Bumrah lead the team to the success.

The IPL 2020 champions Mumbai Indians had Rs.15.35 crore available salary cap during the mini-auction and they spent INR 11.70 crore to buy their favourite players. Mumbai Indians  bought 4 overseas and 3 domestic players.

Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2021:

Rohit Sharma (c), Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Anmolpreet Singh, Quinton de Kock, Aditya Tare, Krunal Pandya, Jayant Yadav, Trent Boult, Chris Lynn, Dhawal Kulkarni, Rahul Chahar, Anukul Roy, Saurabh Tiwary, Mohsin Khan.

First-choice of MI for playing XI:

Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock* (wk), Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Rahul Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.

*Quinton de Kock is likely to be unavailable for the first game due to quarantine. So Chris Lynn can fill the position of Quinton de Kock and probably Ishan Kishan will do wicketkeeping.

Other than Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult was the leading bowler who helped Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020 journey. The New Zealand pacer took 25 wickets in 15 games and was the third most wicket-taker in the season. Boult and Bumrah’s combination in bowling will destruct the opposition batsmen in IPL 2021. So Trent Boult should be allowed to lead from the front in IPL 2021.
