As the IPL 2021 begins every bowler is aiming at grabbing the purple cap for himself.
At present the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowler, Harshal Patel is leading the table in the purple cap race. He has taken 9 wickets in 3 matches for RCB. The pacer also took two wickets against KKR on Sunday. He had also taken a fifer against MI in the opening match of IPL.
Rahul Chahar is placed at the second position with 7 wickets in 3 matches for Mumbai Indians. Delhi capitals’ Avesh Khan is at 3 with 6 wickets from 3 matches.
Thus at present among the five players in purple cap race first three positions are occupied by Indian bowlers, Harshal Patel, Rahul Chahar and Avesh Khan; and the other two are Trent Boult at number 4 and Andre Russel at number 5.
Let’s wait for the right time to know who will be the player to grab the Purple Cap by taking most wickets in this IPL Season.
