The La Liga race has been a crazy rollercoaster in the past few weeks. This match week was definitely very intense.
All the top 3 clubs, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona were drawing at halftime with Sevilla losing from the 4th spot. FC Barcelona was winning after a Messi header. However, they soon conceded a goal. Santi Mina scored a goal from outside the box as poor defending and keeping led to Celta Vigo equalizing.
In the second half, Real Madrid went 1-0 against Athletic Bilbao, and soon after Atletico Madrid conceded a goal. This meant that Real Madrid would’ve moved on top of the table. However, it just wasn’t meant to be for the team in white, as Atletico scored 2 goals in the last 10 minutes to remain on top of the table. FC Barcelona conceded in the last minutes of the game thrashing their title hopes.
Carrasco passed it to Suarez at the edge of the 6-yard box, who then placed the ball in the bottom left corner of the net. This meant that Atletico won the game 2-1 against Osasuna. The goal meant that FC Barcelona was out of the league, even if they had won against Celta Vigo.
They have the final match next week, with Atletico playing against 19th place Valladolid, who themselves are fighting to remain in La Liga. Meanwhile, Real Madrid plays against a tough opponent, Villareal. Villareal will make it tough for Real Madrid to get an easy victory.
Both the teams need to win in the final game week. If Real drops points then Atletico wins the league no matter what. However, if Real Madrid wins and Atletico drops points, then it is Real Madrid who will take the trophy home.

Considering the opponents, it seems as if Atletico might just win the league. However, knowing football, anything can happen on the final day.
