PSG open talks over Achraf Hakimi transfer

Paris Saint-Germain has approached Inter about signing right-back Achraf Hakimi this summer. Hakimi only joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2020 as the final piece of Antonio Conte’s title-winning puzzle, and he had a tremendous season with seven goals and 11 assists across all competitions.

Hakimi’s departure would be a setback to Inter, who saw him make 45 appearances across all competitions in his rookie season, returning seven goals and 11 assists. Inter may have won the Scudetto, but they may face some difficulties in the transfer market.

Les Parisiens have prioritized signing the 22-year-old Moroccan international in the right-back position this summer. Despite having just won Serie A with Inter Milan, the player is not closed to other options. PSG will be up against Bayern Munich and another famous European team whose name has yet to be revealed.

According to Fabrizio, the journalist, talks between the two clubs have already begun, but Inter is seeking more than €60 million if the 22-year-old winger is to go in this transfer window.

The Italian club is currently in a difficult financial condition and is looking to sell roughly £80 million in players – something Conte was so dissatisfied with that he left the club after winning the title. Inter is considering using Hakimi to make the majority of that money, with PSG willing to spend between £43 million and £50 million to sign the Moroccan international.
