Dettol is a popular hygiene brand, owned by Reckitt, a major FMCG company based out of the UK, has decided to substitute its current logo on its handwash products with the image of motivating stories of COVID warriors.
Reckitt has started a #DettolSalutes campaign in which it has hand-selected 100 stories from all across India and posted them on the liquid handwash packs. This is Reckitt’s way of honoring the protectors who have helped people through the pandemic and continue doing so.
The company said that this was the first time in the history of Dettol that it is replacing its logo. The PTI, Reckitt Regional Marketing Director, South Asia Health & Nutrition Dilen Gandhi mentioned that this was a tribute to those who have lent a helping hand to one too many in times of need.
To add to that, he said that in times as such they strongly believe that people need a sense of optimism and have hope that the stories they are sharing will create a sense of optimism in these dire times. He said, “As the packs carry these stories, we believe they will also carry a message of hope across our country.”
Lastly, he mentioned that these stories have been collected from across the nation, which represents diversity and they consist of stories of both genders from places such as Guwahati, Srinagar, and Coimbatore. Furthermore, they have also launched a website where people from anywhere in India can share their stories and support COVI-19 protectors.
