Aamir Khan Reacts as Journalist Calls Him ‘Senior Citizen’ at 60th Birthday Event

In Mumbai on Thursday, Aamir Khan held a special meet and greet with the media to commemorate his impending 60th birthday on Friday. He graciously declined the senior citizen tag that was being offered to him there.

Aamir was questioned by a reporter about becoming a “senior citizen” this year. Aamir claimed that he still feels like he is 16 or 17. In fact, he joked that he would also call the 30-year-olds uncles if they called him that. For over 40 years, Aamir has been working in the Hindi film industry. In 1984, he debuted with Holi.

After that, he starred in Qayamat Tak. This year, Aamir, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan all turn 60. A film festival was recently planned in his honour. Some of Aamir Khan’s greatest films will once again be shown in theatres as part of Cinema Ka Jadugar.

The celebration, which will celebrate Aamir’s contribution to Indian cinema, will start on March 14—the actor’s 60th birthday—and extend through March 27 at all PVR INOX theatres nationwide. The following films will be shown under the title “Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jadugar”: “Dangal,” “3 Idiots,” “Lagaan,” “Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke,” “Raja Hindustani,” “Ghajini,” “Akele Hum Akele Tum,” “Andaz Apna Apna”, “PK”, “Dhoom 3”, “Rang De Basanti”, “Ghulam”, “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak”, “Secret Superstar”, “Laal Singh Chadha”, “Taare Zameen Par”, “Sarfarosh”, “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar”, “Talaash”, “Fanaa”, “Dil Chahta Hai,” and “Dil.”

“Sitaare Zameen Par,” Aamir’s upcoming film, is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2007 film “Taare Zameen Par,” which also served as his directorial debut. But there will be new characters and a new plot in the movie. It is anticipated to come out this year.
