Akshay Kumar attends inauguration of BAPS temple in Abu Dhabi

After missing the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya last month, Akshay Kumar flew to the UAE to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple. Shankar Mahadevan, a Grammy Award-winning music composer, is among the Indian celebrities who attended the event.

Akshay can be seen arriving at the BAPS Hindu Temple in the United Arab Emirates in a video that was shared by the ANI X account. He’s escorted by a heavy security cover. He wore a light kurta for the event.

Meanwhile, the actor has been filming the action comedy Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, overseas. On his Instagram account, he even uploaded a photo of himself and co-star Tiger Shroff doing an action scene, with the caption, “Bromance over romance this Valentine’s Day (fist bump emoji).”

Among the celebrities present for the opening of the BAPS Hindu Temple in the United Arab Emirates today is Shankar Mahadevan, a singer and composer who recently received a Grammy Award as part of his fusion band Shakti. Ahead of the inauguration, Shankar told ANI, “This is an extremely happy moment for India and all Indians all over the world. This is a historic moment in our lives where we are going to witness a Mandir which is so magnificent and spiritual coming on a land like Abu Dhabi. Only our PM Narendra Modi can execute this.”
