
The second instalment of ‘Oh My God’ is eventually in process as the makers have fastened a script that would be a worthy successor to transmit the legacy of the first part forward.
However,Paresh Rawal, who played the key role in the first part, will not play any role in Oh My God 2 and his role has been taken by Pankaj Tripathi.
While Akshay Kumar will supposedly proceed with his character of a God in the second part too. Director Amit Rai, known for 2010 critically acclaimed, Road To Sangam, is believed to directed this comedy-drama. His directorial debut featured Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Pawan Malhotra in lead. He has also rewarded at the International Film Festival of South Africa for his 2009 Marathi film, Tingya.

It took him quite a few time to evolve the idea into a screenplay. It’s only after multiple narrations and discussions that the movie got green light by Akshay Kumar. He is all excited to commence shooting for Oh My God 2 from the month of September,” revealed a source close to Pinkvilla. The sequel is being produced by Ashwin Varde with Akshay Kumar.
