As people grapple with the pandemic and it taking a toll on their mental health and well-being, Bollywood actor, Ali Fazal joins hands with several doctors and experts to conduct sessions for frontline workers, Covid affected people, children and more.
The initiative by Ali Fazal aims at understanding the importance of mental health, acknowledging mental health issues, and reaching out for help.
He emphasises on the need to be more compassionate towards the healthcare workers because they are the one facing first hand trauma and that is bound to play havoc in their minds.
He believes in the quote “ One size doesn’t fit all” and thus lays emphasis on the need for different provisions for different sections of society, people, age and gender. The aim of the initiative is to provide support and assistance to all those who feel that they are undergoing trauma, anxiety, depression or any such mental health issue.
With the help of Dr Harish Shetty and Dr Anjali Chabariya, who are senior psychiatrists from Mumbai, Ali is looking to set up a board that will help him achieve this objective of communicating the importance of mental well-being.
Amongst other Bollywood celebrities, we have Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Mira Rajput, Alia Bhatt and Bhumi Pudnekar who frequently take to social media to amplify the voices of those in need whilst also encouraging people to speak up and seek help if required.
