The Telugu blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is making waves across India since its release on December 5, 2024. In just eight days, the film’s Hindi-dubbed version has achieved a phenomenal milestone, surpassing the lifetime earnings of KGF 2 and closing in on Baahubali 2’s record.
According to reports, Pushpa 2 has earned approximately ₹435.5 crore from its Hindi version alone, surpassing the ₹434.62 crore lifetime collection of KGF 2. The film is now only ₹75.5 crore away from overtaking the Hindi earnings of Baahubali 2, which stands at ₹511 crore. Once this gap is bridged, Pushpa 2 will become the highest-grossing Hindi-dubbed South Indian film ever.
Directed by Sukumar, the movie has been praised for its gripping narrative and mass appeal. Centered on the journey of a red sandalwood smuggler, it balances intense action with emotional depth, captivating audiences nationwide.
Despite a slight dip in earnings around 5 to 8% the film continues to dominate the box office and is expected to gain momentum in its second week. Its success also overshadows its prequel, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), which earned ₹106 crore in Hindi.
With record-breaking collections and widespread acclaim, Pushpa 2 not only reaffirms Allu Arjun’s star power but also highlights the ever-growing popularity of South Indian cinema in the Hindi-speaking market.
