Ashley Young re-joins Aston Villa from Inter Milan

Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract with Aston Villa after helping Inter Milan win the Hu Serie A, title last season. As per the Premier League side, he has joined Aston Villa on a free transfer from Inter Milan, returned to the club a decade after he left Manchester United. After clinching the Serie A title, Ashley signed a one-year contract with Aston Villa.

Dean Smith, head of Aston Villa stated, “Ashley brings with him a wealth of experience of top-level football both at the club and international level and he is joining having just won a league championship in Italy.” He further added, ” He is a player who can play in several positions and, having spoken to him at length, I know he is determined to make a real impact with us this season.”

Ashley had been capped 39 times by England, has spent the last two seasons with Inter Milan in Serie A. He has played 26 leagues games for Antonio Conte’s side last season as they won the title for the first time in 11 years. Aston Villa officially stated, “Ashley Young has signed a one-year deal after helping Inter Milan win Serie A title. In a stellar career which has seen him make 369 Premier League appearances, win multiple trophies and earn 39 caps for his country, Young returns to Villa park.”
