Australia’s star Test performer Marcus Labuschagne will miss out on the Caribbean series

Australia finally announced their 23-man preliminary squad for the upcoming white-ball tour to the Caribbean starting from June 10, 2021. Just after the returning of eight Australian stars including Steve Smith, David Warner, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Moises Henriques, Alex Carey and Mitchell Swepson amid suspension of IPL 2021, the list got extended.

Australia will cross swords with the West Indies in five T20 international and three ODIs at St Lucia and Barbados respectively. This particular series will give enough preparation to both sides for the upcoming main event the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and a fair chance to promote themselves in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League Standings.

However, Australia’s star Test performer Marcus Labuschagne will miss out on the Caribbean series after it was decided that he would continue to play the county league for the Glamorgan instead.
