Bayern Munich legend Thomas Muller wears Team India jersey ahead of IND vs NZ; Watch

Thomas Muller, of Bayern Munich, has shown his support for the Indian team ahead of their World Cup 2023 semifinal match against New Zealand, which is set to take place in Mumbai on November 15. Muller donned Virat Kohli’s jersey and thanked the Indian team for the gift.

Muller has made 125 appearances for the German men’s national team since making his debut in March 2010. The German forward also plays for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, Germany’s top-tier football league, where he played in 470 games.

The 2014 World Cup winner mentioned star Indian batter Virat Kohli in the description of the video he posted on his X account, formerly known as Twitter, revealing the Indian team jersey.

India will face New Zealand in the first semi-final of the World Cup 2023 on November 15 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, after beating all nine opponents thus far. Given the two teams’ great records, the semi-final between India and New Zealand promises to be an exciting game that might go all the way to the final ball.

In the last two years, the men in blue have advanced to the World Cup semifinals twice, but they have failed at the last hurdle. The Indian team will take the field hoping to avenge their heartbreaking loss in the 2019 World Cup semifinals against Wednesday’s opponents.
